1. Overview
This page explains how to delete the data OmniPost stores about you and what happens when you do. OmniPost lets you sign in, connect your YouTube and Instagram accounts, upload a video, generate platform-ready content with AI, and publish it to your connected accounts. You can remove any connection, or your whole account, at any time.
If you connected Instagram, you can also start a deletion directly from your Instagram or Meta account settings, and Meta will pass that request on to OmniPost.
2. Disconnect a Connected Account
To remove a single connection without deleting your OmniPost account:
- Sign in: Open OmniPost and go to the Connect Accounts screen.
- Disconnect: Select Disconnect next to the YouTube or Instagram account you want to remove.
- Result: We immediately delete the stored authorization for that account, including the access token and the account identity we kept to show the connection (such as the username or channel name and profile picture).
3. Delete via Instagram or Meta Settings
Because Instagram is connected through Meta, you can also revoke OmniPost and request deletion from Meta directly:
- Remove the app: In your Instagram or Meta account settings, open the list of apps and websites and remove OmniPost. Meta notifies us, and we remove the stored authorization for that Instagram account.
- Data deletion request: When Meta sends us a data-deletion request on your behalf, we delete the Instagram data we hold for that account and return a confirmation code. You can use that code, on the status page we provide, to confirm the deletion was processed.
4. Delete Your Entire Account
To delete your OmniPost account and everything associated with it, email us from the address on your account and ask us to delete your account.
Deleting your account removes:
- Account information: Your OmniPost profile and the sign-in identity associated with it.
- Connected accounts: All stored OAuth authorizations and account identities for your connected YouTube and Instagram accounts.
- Content: Your uploaded videos and the AI-generated content created from them.
5. What Happens After Deletion
Deletion is permanent. Once your data is deleted it cannot be recovered, and you would need to reconnect your accounts or re-upload content to use OmniPost again.
- Scope: We delete the data OmniPost stores. Deleting data from OmniPost does not remove anything already published to YouTube or Instagram, or delete your accounts on those platforms. Manage published posts in each platform directly.
- Timing: Disconnecting an account takes effect immediately. Account and data-deletion requests are processed promptly after we receive them.
- Backups: Residual copies may persist briefly in routine backups and are overwritten on their normal cycle.
